Have you had cowboys working on this?
There are a lot of skilled usability professionals in the world.
So it is sad to see how much usability work still gets
executed badly.
Common failings include:
- usability studies that study the wrong users -- and hence
give invalid results
- evaluations that misunderstand the context of use -- and
hence give invalid results
- long lists of trivial 'usability bugs' that mask the truly
important results
...and there are countless other ways to deliver misleading
or ineffective usability work.
